This is a "memoir" of Wednesday Martin on her experience of becoming a Upper East mommy from the angles of anthropology and sociology. Some paragraphs on sociological observations are a bit long for me. Some other descriptions are quite rude and mean about the other Upper East mommies she met : comparing their behaviour and beliefs as some rituals of some tribes. Inevitably the observer became the participant. Nonetheless her last chapter was more touching when the other mommies came to her , comfort her on their common experience of the death of a child / baby.
